Hershley Ogé

Hershley Ogé is currently a litigation attorney with the Law Offices of Robert D. Tetreault, where she serves as In-House Counsel to United Services Automobile Association (USAA). She is of Haitian descent and was raised in Pompano Beach, Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies with a Minor in Political Science at the University of Central Florida. She went on to attend Florida’s First Law School, Stetson University, College of Law.
While in law school Hershley worked as a Certified Legal Intern with the Office of the Public Defender in the 6th Judicial Circuit where she represented children within the Crossover Dependency and Delinquency court. After being admitted to the Florida Bar in 2013, she then worked at the Office of the Public Defender in the 9th Judicial Circuit where she was able to assist thousands of indigent clients. She assisted and handled a large variety of cases ranging from Petty thief, battery, DUIs, and attempted murder. Hershley tried approximately 20 criminal jury trials to verdict and represented children within the Felony Delinquency Court division where she tried many bench trials. As prior counsel for a major insurance carrier, she tried three civil jury trials.
She’s also very committed to her community. She is a past president of the F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association and presently serves as Secretary of the Virgil Hawkins Florida Chapter National Bar Association. She currently serves on the Florida Bar’s 15th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee. She has been selected by Legacy Magazine as one of South Florida’s 40 Under 40: Black Leaders of Today and Tomorrow in 2020. She was the 2021 Palm Beach Bar Association Bench Bar Co-Chair of the Personal Injury/Wrongful Death Sessions. Currently she serves as Legal Advisor to the Zeta Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is a mentor to the Precious Pearl Middle School Youth Group, and the Big Sister of a 14-year-old for Big Brothers Big Sisters program. She is also membership co-chair of the Florida Association of Female Lawyers – Palm Beach Chapter and received their 2020 Most Outstanding Young Lawyer Award.
