Roger L. Johnson
President
Roger Johnson is a civil litigator and is currently a Senior Associate at the law firm Luks, Santaniello, Petrillo, Cohen, & Peterfriend. He began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender at the Ninth Judicial Circuit Office of the Public Defender in Orlando, FL where he served as an advocate for indigent men, women and children charged with various criminal offenses. During his tenure at the Public Defender’s Office, he tried over 20 jury trials.
Roger is a native of Tampa, Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies with a minor in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2010. He went on to attend Florida A&M University College of Law where he received a Juris Doctorate degree in 2013.
He currently serves as President of the Virgil Hawkins Florida Chapter National Bar Association and as a member of the National Bar Association Board of Governors. He previously served as the 2019-2020 President of the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association and was honored with the organization’s Outstanding Service Award in 2021. He is also an active member of the National Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association. Lastly, he was recognized by the National Bar Association as one of its 40 Lawyers Under 40 Award recipients in 2020.
